An old fishing village, Icaraizinho has developed in recent years with tourism and now has a good structure of hotels and restaurants at various levels, without losing its original charm.

The first half of the year brings a greater chance of rain and lower winds. The second half is dominated by sun and steady winds — the best period for sailing sports.

Restaurants mentioned in the area include Praia Azul, Nui Restaurante, Umami, Aroma, Kaito, Hibisco and Moinho dos Ventos — ranging from simple regional cuisine to more sophisticated options.

Boat trips on the Aracatiaçu River, stand up paddle, buggy, quad bike and 4x4 tours, the Freixeiras Lagoon, horseback riding, the Caetanos area with its lagoons, and of course, sunset watching.
